St. John’s, NL – This coming Friday and Saturday, November 18th & 19th, will mark the return of the North Atlantic Fish & Workboat Show to the Mile One Centre in St. John’s, NL. This all-encompassing commercial marine event features boats, marine services and equipment, supplies services and safety gear for commercial fishermen and other workboats.
This year, the North Atlantic Fish & Workboat Show is celebrating its 5th anniversary edition. As part of the event, deserving individuals will be inducted into the Atlantic Canada Marine Industries Hall of Fame.
These awards pay a lasting tribute to those who have made valuable contributions in any sector of the marine industry and are given in three categories. The Mariner category recognizes individuals who work or have worked on the water in any marine industry. The Processor category recognizes individuals involved in the business of processing, from line workers to company owners. The Builder category recognizes those who have made contributions without having directly participated.

- FREDERICK JACKSON from Whiteway, Trinity Bay (Builder)
The event will also include a reception, hosted by The Navigator and sponsored by Coors Light. The reception takes place on the Friday night of the show, November 18th, from 7-11pm at Club One on New Gower Street. It will feature music by 8 Track Favourites and is free for all show exhibitors and visitors; however invitations are limited. Visitors are encouraged to drop by The Navigator’s booth at the show to pick up their invitation.
