The Big One is done! It’s hard to believe that the 2018 Nova Scotia Spring Ideal Home Show already wrapped up last weekend, and we are extending a huge thanks to everyone involved. From show stopper displays to home tours in the parking lot, this year will be one to remember.

As a mainstay event in the Halifax region, the Ideal Home Show remains a driving force for contractors, service providers, and a plethora of other businesses in the home improvement industry. With a great mix of things to see and do for the whole family, it was no surprise that attendance was strong again this year, despite the impending storm that kept some folks home on Sunday afternoon. Saturday as always was a day of big crowds for the show. Friday and Sunday also saw boosts in the morning, thanks to hourly specials on admission.

We continue to hear positive feedback from both attendees and exhibitors about the event, and were told it was also a great show for leads and sales on the floor! Thanks to all who put in the extra effort to organize in-booth specials and giveaways, generating excitement for the event as a whole. The show’s main door prize, a KVADRO jewelry mirror with compartments, was won by Kate Shewan. Congratulations!

The Ideal Garden & Patio Show was a hit once again – a welcome preview of spring in this stubborn winter! Thanks to partner Landscape Nova Scotia for putting together a display of outdoor inspiration for the warmer seasons ahead. A special thanks also goes out to sponsors Thornbloom, KVADRO Furniture, Prestige Homes, and Maple Leaf Homes.

On top of hundreds of exhibits filling the Halifax Exhibition Centre, some really unique features were part of this year’s show, including informative sessions from Solar Nova Scotia, interactive fun for kids at Seed Survivor, the popular puppy kissing booth in support of Atlantic Canadian Dachshund Rescue, and meet-and-greets with Iron Man, Batman, and Moana!
